Your Data Rights

OVOSeo is operated by Robert Haba, located in Romania - a member state of the European Union. This means GDPR applies to how we handle your personal data, regardless of where in the world you are located.

Your Rights at a Glance

📋 Right of Access

You can request a copy of all personal data we hold about you, including your account data, billing history, and the Google data we have processed on your behalf.

✏️ Right to Rectification

If any data we hold about you is inaccurate or incomplete, you can ask us to correct it. You can update most account information directly in your OVOSeo account settings.

🗑️ Right to Erasure ("Right to Be Forgotten")

You can request that we delete your personal data. We will honor this request within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain certain records (e.g., invoices under Romanian accounting laws).

⏸️ Right to Restriction of Processing

You can ask us to pause processing of your data - for example, while you contest its accuracy - without requesting full deletion.

📦 Right to Data Portability

You can request your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format (JSON or CSV). This covers account data and any data you have provided to OVOSeo directly.

🚫 Right to Object

You can object to processing based on our legitimate interests - for example, receiving product update emails. Every marketing email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link.

↩️ Right to Withdraw Consent

Where we process data based on your consent (e.g., analytics cookies), you can withdraw that consent at any time through our Cookie Settings.

🤖 Rights Related to Automated Decision-Making

OVOSeo does not make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you. AI features are tools to help you - they do not make decisions about you.

How to Submit a Data Request

To submit a request:

Email privacy[at]ovoseo.com with the subject line: "GDPR Data Request"
Include the email address associated with your OVOSeo account so we can verify your identity.
Describe your request clearly (e.g., "I want a copy of all data you hold about me" or "Please delete my account").
We will acknowledge your request within 3 business days and respond fully within 30 days.

How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your OVOSeo account directly from your account settings under Settings → Account → Delete Account. This will:

Cancel any active subscription at the end of the current billing period.
Permanently delete your profile, connected websites, tracked keywords, and Google integration tokens within 30 days.
Retain billing records as required by law.

How to Disconnect Google

You can revoke OVOSeo's access to your Google account at any time:

Within OVOSeo: Go to Settings → Integrations → Disconnect Google.
Via Google: Visit myaccount.google.com/permissions and remove OVOSeo from your authorized apps.

Transfers Outside the EU

OVOSeo may transfer personal data to third-party processors located outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including the United States (e.g., Stripe). We ensure all such transfers comply with GDPR through European Commission adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

Lodge a Complaint

If you believe we have not handled your data in accordance with GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority:
